DealsGoRound allows users to sell their group coupon deals. There are many group discount and coupon buying websites. These are sites that allow the user to purchase a deep discount (usually greater than 50% off) for special offers, services and products. This system usually works well but the problem is that the user must commit to the purchase before actually using the discount. If the user decides that they are not going to use the deal before its expiration date, they cannot get their money back. DealsGoRound gives consumers in this situation a place to sell off those unwanted discounts and promotions. The user can upload their deal certificate to DealsGoRound where it is posted for sale. Other users can purchase it. When they do, the user selling the certificate is paid via Paypal and the buyer is emailed the certificate.Show more screenshots »
DealsGoRound was founded in March of 2010 by Kris Petersen. The application was intended to provide users with a daily deal marketplace. Through DealsGoRound, users can find deals they may have missed or sell off a deal they will not use. Today many people use DealsGoRound to buy and sell daily deals.
There are numerous daily deal websites out there but far fewer that help users sell unwanted deals. Most of the time, the daily deal concept works well. The buyer gets a deep discount for purchasing it ahead of time. DealsGoRound is unique because it gives those with buyer’s remorse a marketplace to sell their deal and get some of their money back.
The DealsGoRound website has a fun color scheme and design that is very similar to the style favored by daily deal websites. A solid black header contrasts the vibrant blue logo and search bar. A drop down box under the logo allows the user to set their preferred location (of which there are many). A few navigational links across the upper, right hand corner gives the user a number of resources as well as access to Facebook and Twitter.
A new user can click the orange “Create Free Account” link found in the lower, right hand corner of the black header. The stylish registration form asks for a first and last name, screen name, email address and password. The user is also asked to select a default city. A highlighted box near the bottom of the form asks for the user’s Paypal email address if they are selling a deal. The user must also re-enter their screen name at the very end of the form to prevent spam.
Users can post their daily deals on DealsGoRound for free. There are no subscription fees or paid membership options currently available. Buyers can browse and buy for free. The only cost associated with DealsGoRound is a 10% fee taken when a seller makes a sale. This is deducted from the total cost of the deal sold.
DealsGoRound is a very helpful resource for anyone who frequently buys daily deals. Even if the use does not have a deal to sell now, they may in the future. DealsGoRound is also ideal for users who want to find deals they may have missed that are currently for sale.
